About Dozer ~ On Trial 27/5/17
Hi I'm Dozer and I'm a friendly 1.5 year old Husky x Staffy boy with a whole lot of character. I'm an exceptionally good looking chap (if I say say myself) with a soft and cuddly coat and an energetic personality. I will come when you call me most of the time (I'm just a bit cheeky!) and I enjoy a neck rub – I lean into you and close my eyes when you give me a good scratch.
I'm very smart and responsive to training as I love treats - especially cabanosi (I'm suave and have good taste). I love it when you throw squeaky balls - I'll fetch the ball and trot around the yard with it until you show me I'll get a treat to drop it. If you don't want to play fetch I'll just run around the yard with the ball squeaking it to keep myself entertained.
I'm in foster care with over 100 other dogs in a boarding environment. I prefer one-on-one playtime with other dogs as I get over excited and can forget my manners when there are too many dogs running around. My best friend was Olly a cattle dog cross but he was adopted so it’s my turn to find my new family now! I'd be fine as an only dog or with another friendly, playful dog who can be a good role model for me as I'm still very young and impressionable. I would do well at advanced training or in dog sports like agility and would make a wonderful jogging companion. I'm best with kids over 12 who are confident with bouncy dogs like me.
Being an energetic Husky x Staffy (with possibly a bit of kelpie in the mix) I'll need good fencing and a family who will involve me in their lives and outings. I’d love a home where I can come inside when you are at home and sleep inside on my own bed. I’ve never had a real home before so I’ll just need a bit of house training from my new family to help me settle in.
If you’d love to meet me then please contact Jo on email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com or 0427 695 104 (after business hours). I’m in foster care near Morisset, (NSW Central Coast) and am not available for interstate adoption.
My adoption fee is $350 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
