About Kingsley
Hey guys!
My name is Kingsley and I am your new best mate.
I'm a stocky and short lad, a collie x staffy my carers think! I was rescued from a giveaway site, because my ad said 'need gone asap' and I was completely unvetted, meaning anyone could use me for breeding! Lucky thing I was taken in by OTC because not only was I unvetted, timid and head-shy- I also had really bad fleas, worms AND ear mites!! I must have spent a couple months at least with them, it was really distressing for me to have such a loud itch in my ears and I did shake and bang my head a lot trying to get it to stop. Apart from that though I was in ok nick and my confidence soon grew once I was parasite free! I never missed a beat settling into my temporary home. I adored their dog from day one and quickly bonded with the teenage son of the house; I like all the humans here but he's my favourite. I like to chase and play with other dogs and run around laughing underneath the trampoline when the kids use it. My fosters say I am a really fun and entertaining dog. See, not just a pretty face!
I sleep inside here, and am being crate trained. I like my crate, it makes me feel safe! I am well house trained and overall a really lovely and loyal dog. I learned how to 'sit' really quickly and am learning wait, come and stay too! I love my food, and am learning to slow down and CHEW when I eat. I have learned to leave the other dogs alone when they eat and mind my own business until my meal is done. My favourite thing is cuddles and playing with the ball in the yard. I also love my daily trips to the dog park, or jogs. Jogs make me sooooo happy! Come and meet me, I think I can be the one for you. I really deserve a good life after my rubbish puppy-hood and I promise I will be the best dog you could ever hope for!

Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate, microchip number and council registration, and will transfer the microchip into your name.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
