About Lottie ~ On Trial 28/8/17
Lottie is a beautiful 18 month old Wolfhound x girl who is an absolute smooch and is affectionate with everybody she encounters. She will sit at your feet and then flop herself over on her back to ask for a belly rub. Lottie is a smaller than many Wolfies - she has the softest eyes and a sweet temperament to match.
Lottie is well mannered and friendly towards dogs both big and small. She adores her foster brother who is a large mail Shepherd X – she plays with him all day and sleeps beside him. She would love to have a canine playmate in her new home who will be a good role model for her. She may also suit a family where there is someone working from home or at home during the day to spend time with her. Lottie has met a few children whilst out and about and has been friendly with them – she kindly accepts lots pats and hugs. She isn't boisterous or jumpy with them but is very affectionate so her new family would ideally have slightly older children who won’t be daunted by her love.
Lottie has learnt some polite manners whilst being in foster care - she will sit and wait for her dinner and will wait to be invited inside. She has nice behaviour when inside and is toilet trained. She sleeps inside on her doggy bed, however overnight she loves to sneak up on the lounge when no one is watching!
Lottie loves going out for walks and chooses to stick by your side the entire time. Her recall off leash is fantastic once she knows you - she will happily run around but will keep a keen eye on where you are. She is in foster care with a horse and shows little interest in him. She enjoys outings in the car and travels beautifully.
Lottie enjoys a good sized, grassy yard to run around in, she'll need 5 foot fencing to keep her safe and sound. She would enjoy a sandpit where you can hide treats for her to find.
Lottie is a gentle, sweet soul with so much love to give to her new family and truly deserves a special forever home to call her own.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
