About Jax ~ On Trial 25/4/17
Introducing Jax, a 2 and a half year old Pomeranian X Husky who is cute as a button with a cheeky devilish streak! If you are after a pocket rocket who's a barrel of laughs and who'll keep you active and fit then Jax is raising his paw to be your new companion.
Jax is small-medium in size and he has a fluffy coat like a pom-pom - he's like cuddling a plush teddy bear. His favourite past time is to do zoomies and feel the breeze in his fur as zips around the yard. Jax would love an active family who will take him out daily and have parks or beaches close by so he can stretch his legs and run and play chasings with other dogs.
Jax is a confident personality type and can hold his own with big dogs as he is in foster care with over a hundred of them - like many smaller breed mixes he'll boss the big dogs around if he thinks they are out of line. He would do well in a home with another friendly, playful dog (who's happy to be bossed around occasionally!) or in a single-dog family if he can continue his canine socialisation at a local dog park.
Jax loves meeting new people - his exuberance in jumping up to say hi will make him more suitable to confident kids over 10 years who won't be knocked over. He's too energetic for the elderly, but would be a good fit for a single, a couple, a family with older kids or even semi retirees whose own children have left the nest.
Jax sits for a treat as he loves rewards - his cheeky side comes through when he'll steal your training treats bag and try to eat the treats in one sitting! With time, routine and training by his new family he will make a perfect addition to the right active family.
Jax is an inside/outside dog - he'll need a family with an open door policy so he can come inside whenever his family are home. He'll love a grassy, fenced yard where he can practice his zoomies. He is very social so won't suit being left alone in the yard if you are full time workers, however if he has a canine friend to play with then he'll be as happy as larry!
If you think this little energiser bunny would be a great match for your active lifestyle then please contact Jo on email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com . Jax is in foster care near Morisset, (NSW Central Coast) and is not available for long distance or interstate adoption.
Jax's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
