About Zara
Well, hello there! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Zara.
I came bit about myself. to be at Lort Smith as I was transferred from another rescue organisation. The other rescue was full but luckily Lort Smith had the room for a big girl like me.
I love a good snuggle on the couch and a good ol belly rub! I absolutely love other dogs and being around them. In my new home it would be best for me to be an only dog as I can be a little over the top by barking and pulling to get towards the other dogs and can play in rough manner.
I can sometimes be a little timid and nervous in new surroundings and when meeting new people so someone that will be patient with me whilst I come out of my shell would be so wonderful!
A strong handler that is willing to take me to behaviour training would be very beneficial as to build on my good manners, loose leash walking and etiquette with other dogs. I already know how to sit and shake too!!
I had my desexing surgery under a week ago and the recovery was tough for me, so I will need to be kept rested for at least 2 weeks until I am 100% better. For this reason I will go out on a foster with the view to adopt arrangement.
If you think I sound like the perfect addition to the family please give the Lort Smith Adoption Hub a call to find out more about me.
