Are you looking for a sweet little shadow to take an interest in your daily activities? Enjoy a chat and cuddle on the couch in front of the TV? How about a toasty bum warmer in bed?
Quirky little Peach may be your perfect match.
This sweet girl can seem shy at first as she finds people standing and walking a little bit overwhelming; try to walk up to her as she evaporates like mist - but sit still and this cuddle bug will settle down near by, or preferably on top of you, purring.
Peach loves her food and becomes quite hilarious if treats like cooked chicken are present. She has a large vocabulary of little noises and likes to have a chat about her day and whatever is happening right now, like where that chicken went anyway, or how you are patting her wrong....
Peach adores romping with younger cats and kittens, or playing with her humans - Da Bird and other teasers are her favourite interactive games, but she will happily keep herself entertained with something to bat around and pounce on - a feather or leaf will do if there isn't anything else. Recently she has had us in stitches over her antics with a crack in the cement outside.
She has a delightful quirky character that defies adequate description, and as she gains confidence her wonderful personality really starts to shine - She is absolutely adorable and makes us laugh a lot.
Peach has lived happily with dogs, children and a house chock full of cats and kittens - we do think she would be happiest in a quieter household where she will be given plenty of time to settle in and gain confidence and where she gets more of the (seated) human attention that makes her so very happy.
As a result of a recent adoption trial that saw Peach returned to my care, I am now specifying that Peach needs a confident or experienced cat guardian who doesn't mind allowing a cat to approach them on the cat's own terms.
Peach doesn't like being walked up to for pats and will usually dart away if you try to approach her; but she is quite responsive to being invited to approach you if you are sitting, squatting or generally not looming above her. She needs an adopter who understands and is comfortable with the distinction, and is content to have a an enthusiastic bed sharer/couch cuddler even if she flits away like a willow-the-wisp every time you walk by.
We have been working on getting Peach to enjoy being picked up and held, and she is making progress but it is not in her top ten of favourite things and she only puts up with it if she is on a level with about your waist to start - again, no looming over her.
Due to Peachy needing more time to settle and show her wonderful personality off to its best advantage I would consider offering her as a Foster with a view to Adopt to see how she settles into her new home (and give you time to fall hopelessly in love).
Peach is happy, healthy and desexed.
