About Juliette's puppies
Juliette's six beautiful puppies (4 male and 2 female) were born in Village Camp in Tennant Creek. Their lovely mum, an older dog of 8 or 9, cared for them so well, even after her owners left town and she had to fend for herself. A neighbour let us know that this little family were struggling and one of our members called by and brought them into care. Poor Juliette was in pitiful condition, but the pups were healthy and growing well. We were so happy to give Juliette a safe place to be with her puppies and plenty of good tucker to build her up.
Juliette has weaned her puppies now, and has been de-sexed. No more puppies for Juliette - she is retired! And she has found a secure home with one of our members where she has her own bed, her own couch, plenty of good tucker and is looking great.
So now it is time for us to find her last litter of puppies their forever homes too. Sisters Roxie and Raya and brothers Rondo and Rolex have already been adopted, but boys Rino and Rufus still available.
They have had plenty to do with other bigger dogs and have had very good dog manners drummed into them. And they are used to playing with the local kids who call around, and are confident and well behaved with kids from 2 years old up. They really enjoy running around and playing with their toys but they enjoy their cuddles too. They are really calm, confident, self possessed pups. They must get their lovely temperaments from their sweet and gentle mum.
Rino is a gorgeous brown rough haired boy who loves exploring his environment and having a game with the toys. Black Rufus loves his toys too, but he also loves a cuddle and a belly rub, and a sleep on your lap if you have the time. They both love to be able to wander in and out of the house and be included in everything that's going on.
They have all been taken outside regularly to toilet, but their new owners will need to spend time to house train them to their new environments. They are smart little dogs though, and will pick up all their lessons well. Time and effort spent training them will really pay off.
Rhino and Rufus have longish rough coats and are likely to grow to about 20-25 kg.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. The adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
The puppies are fit and well, and ready to go. They will be wormed and heartworm treated again just before leaving the Territory. They should be dewormed fortnightly until 5 months old and have at least 1 further heartworm treatment after he arrives down south.
