About Ben ~ purebred Labrador (on trial 20/05/17
Ben is a 2 year old purebred Labrador, Ben is a big playful, loving dude looking for the perfect home.Did I mention big, Ben is over 40kgs and very strong. Ben is not the sort of dog you could walk on one hand, pushing a pram with the other.
Ben gets on well with other dogs. Ben enjoys time at dog parks, loves to chase balls, but he teases you before giving the ball back. Ben plays with toys and will entertain himself, pulling apart soft toys, he also loves games of tug.
Ben is house trained, and needs to be part of a family, living and sleeping inside when his people are home. Ben has been known to sneak up on your bed during the night. Ben doesn't dig, chew or jump, but he is fast to race out the front door if given the opportunity.
Ben will sit & stay on command and would benefit from further training.
Ben is not suitable for a home with cats and hasn't been tested pocket pets. Ben is probably best suited to a family with older children due to his size.
Ben is big lovable boof, and the heaviest lapdog I have come across, Loving nothing more than snuggling next to you on the lounge.
For more information or to meet Ben, please contact his foster carer Anne via email anne4drn@gmail.com . Ben is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Ben's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
