About Sammy ~ Shih Tzu (On Trial 11/4/17)
This is the gorgeous Sammy, a 6 year-old Shih Tzu boy who is destined to make some family feel as though they have the best dog in the world. He is a dog that seems to tick all the boxes. He adores anyone who walks through the door, especially children who he believes are his best friends. If anyone shows him a toy he instantly believes it’s play time, and squeaky toys are his absolute favourite.
Going for a drive and a walk to meet all the neighbours is another absolute treat. Sonny also gets along with other dogs, and he would really enjoy have a playful dog in the family so he could run around and play doggy games.
Sammy is an inside dog, he also sleeps inside on his comfy bed as he is completely toilet trained. He is quite happy to spend some time outside running around sniffing in the garden. Luckily he doesn’t dig any holes, he prefers to just smell the different scents to be found.
Sammy would suit many different households. Young children would enjoy his beautiful personality and a senior family, who wants a dog to keep them company, and maybe go on a holiday or two, would think he was perfect. We are, however, looking for a new family who has someone at home regularly through the day, as that is what he has been accustomed to.
Sammy is currently being cared for in Floraville NSW, 2280. If you wish to inquire about our beautiful Sammy, please contact Jason or Karen Scott on 02 400 911 63 or on jk88scott@gmail.com. Sonny is unavailable for interstate adoption.
Sammy's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
