About Tuppence ~ 6yo Pomeranian girl (On Trial 20/4/17)
Introducing Tuppence, AKA Tuppy, a sweet six year old Pomeranian girl who spins in circles with excitement just to see you.
Tuppence is the perfect in-between dog, for a family looking for a loving but low key addition. She enjoys cuddles, but isn't needy or pushy. She likes going for a walk (and is learning quickly to walk well on a lead) but doesn't require too much exercise to be content.
If you want to play, she will play - soft toys are her favourite. If it's outside time, she will happily go outside. When it's inside time, she will find a nice spot to settle near you when you're resting, or follow you around if you are moving about. She is also able to use a soft doggy door and will take herself outside for the toilet (so long as it's not raining). She's not picky about food, and will sit for her meals - her training on stay and wait are coming along, too.
At Tuppence's recent trip to the vet for her vaccinations, she was given a clean bill of health - although she does get itchy skin in springtime. Her dental health is great, her heart is strong and she is in good physical condition.
Tuppence is good with children, so long as you remind her not to jump up - she is a good listener. She has lived with cats without any problems, and currently has two foster brother dogs with whom she gets along well - her low key nature means she is really able to slot in anywhere happily.
For more information or to meet Tuppence, please email her foster carer Rebbeca at mrsrstranger@gmail.com. Tuppence is in care in Rutherford, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Tuppence's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
