About Gracie ~ On Trial 10/5/17
Meet the amazing Gracie – a lovable 4.5 month old Wolfhound x Great Dane x Bull Arab puppy who loves her cuddles. This young girl is a treasure and has the sweetest temperament – she is adorable to look at too as she has the scruffy face and coat of a wolfhound. Gracie is your typical sweet yet goofy, clumsy large breed puppy who is very smart as well as having an eagerness to please her family.
Gracie is treat focused and has so much potential with her learning - she would thrive at puppy school, doggy day care or doing advanced obedience classes as she grows older. The challenge, exercise and social aspect would be great for her mind, development and her fitness as she grows.
Gracie is an absolute delight to look after – when she isn't playing or hanging out with her little foster brother Charlie, she is exploring the yard on a sunny day and hanging out with the chickens she shares her yard with. She has learnt that chicken eggs are very yummy and will occasionally help herself to the occasional eggy treat!
Gracie is in foster care with multiple other dogs smaller than her but she is certainly the big baby of her foster family. She is great with other dogs, cats and chickens but like many young puppies she can be a little shy meeting new dogs at first. She will warm up once she realises they just want to be friendly with her.
Gracie will be a large dog when fully grown, so her size combined with her puppy playfulness, we would suggest she is best with older children who are confident with large dogs and won’t be intimidated by her adult sizes. Gracie would suit many family situations as she’s quite adaptable – she would love a fur brother or sister and wouldn’t mind if she was an only dog as long as her humans are home during the day and she could join them inside for games or just quiet TV time. Grace needs to be an inside/outside dog and sleep inside at night. Gracie’s main request to her new family is that she be included in as much of their lives as possible and to always be loved!
If you have a Gracie sized hole in your heart that can be filled with this girl sweetness and if you can commit to giving her a full life of love, attention and walks you will get all of Gracie’s heart in return!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
