About Butch
Butch is just the sweetest, most loveable brindle boy around. He follows me everywhere, quiet as a mouse, loves a cuddle, and although he will grow to be quite big, judging by the size of his paws, he is still quite small when compared to his siblings.
Butch and his siblings are learning basic behaviours such as walking nicely on the leash and patience, and basic obedience - sit, stay, come, shake, down and stand. All the pups are doing well with crate training and toilet training, and have now started sleeping through the night without a peep.
Butch currently lives with four of his siblings, as well as 6 older dogs ranging from 9 months to 10 years. He is quite an oblivious, go-getter, so will run through a group of grumpy dogs if it means he gets a cuddle.
Butch is a little timid and would benefit immensely from having a gentle, desexed adult doggy companion, to learn from and help him settle in to his new home. He will be looking for a home with a mature dog of a similar adult size and energy levels to be a great role model for him to help him continue developing his confidence in his new home.
Butch can get a little overwhelmed with young children running around him. He remains extremely gentle, however a home with older children may be more suitable. Having said that, he loves attention from the quieter toddlers and children that he has met.
As Butch will grow medium-large in size, it is recommended that he attend obedience classes with his new owner to help form a bond, obey around distractions and socialise with other dogs and people while still in the puppy stage. This will help him overcome his shyness and grow into a well-behaved and balanced adult dog.
If you would like to learn more about this beautiful brindle, or believe he might be the right fit for your family, we would love to hear from you!
Butch is located in Ballarat.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
