About Oaken
Meet Oaken! The social butterfly.
She absolutely adores people and loves her K9 friends. I hope you like big sloppy kisses as she gives out hundreds of them! She has to be touching you most of the time and is a complete wiggle bum!! She's pretty sure she's a lap dog.
Oaken can be a little jumpy due to her excitement to see people and her carers are teaching her not to jump up. She's picking up training really well and can sit, drop & shake already, is house trained and crate trained. She can be a little stubborn sometimes, so continued training for this girl is a must.
Walkies are the bomb! and she's great on lead and doesn't pull, which makes taking her out even easier. She loves adventure and travel, so will gladly jump in the car with you and help you to explore the world.
Great with other dogs, Oaken really enjoys play time with her doggy pals and tug o war is a favourite that she plays with her foster sister as often as she can. She can be over the top in her play, which not all dogs will appreciate, so will do best with other like minded energiser bunnies!! When they're not playing, the two of them are found snuggling up together for a snooze.
What dog doesn't like their food? And Oaken is no different, she'll practically do anything for it and will sit & wait for dinner like a good girl with raw chicken wings being her achilles heel.
Oaken rarely barks but will alert when something seems out of the ordinary.
We're looking for a family that's committed to ongoing training and socialisation for Oaken where she will be an integral part of the family and be allowed inside to snuggle with the humans. She'll require another doggy companion or someone home most days.
If you're looking for a sweet, playful, adventurous and stunning girl, with crazy ears and the cutest head tilts, please apply for this special girl by following our adoption process listed below.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
