About Lovely Lola ~ On Trial 25/11/17
Hi I'm Lola and I'm a lovely 4.5 year old Staffy X with a smile that spreads from ear to ear. I have a stunning tan coat and a pretty black face with some cute and expressive Shar-Pei style wrinkles on my forehead. I’m a total people dog as I love spending time with my humans. I also enjoy meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for me to show them my affectionate side.
I'm looking for a furever family who will love my staffy antics and quirks. We think I've got Shar-Pei in my breed mix due to my wrinkly face and small ears but mostly I'm a typical staffy "nugget" in looks. I would love a family who will take me for a daily walk or even a light jog to keep me fit and trim. I'm better at walking on lead now - I used to be very strong but with time, routine and consistency I have improved.
Before coming into foster care I didn't have a lot of positive canine socialisation so I'm best as an only dog. I would thrive in a single dog family with no other pets where my new fur parents will put time into teaching me how to be part of a family. I'm in care with around 100 other dogs at a boarding lodge - I'm fine walking past most of the other dogs behind the fence but due to my previous neglect I'm best to be separated from other dogs. I am treat focused and will gallop over to you for a treat, I respond well to training and would love an environment where positive training techniques are valued as I have had a bit of a rough start to life.
I've have been in a foster home with an older child and we were good mates. I would suit a couple or single, or maybe a family with older dog-confident kids or teenagers. I would also enjoy a good sized yard (5-6 foot fencing) that I can gallop around or sunbake in. My perfect home will be one where I can come in and out of the house when you are home so that I've got companionship from the people I love best - YOU !

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
