About Chiesl
This is one special puppy!
Apart from being ridiculously good looking, he has the sweetest nature and adores being around you.
Chiesl loves to have a cuddle and laze about. He has started exploring the yard and is very inquisitive. He is natural born player of fetch and loves to play tug of war with his foster sister (who never lets him win!) Chiesl is also good with his foster carers cats and tends to leave them alone. He enjoys a good wrestle with other puppies his size and further socialisation will be very beneficial for him.
He loves a chat and will often make funny little wookie noises in response to you – unless it’s dinner time, then he barks and gets so excited and jumps all over the place! But he does know he has to sit for his dinner and does it so well! Kinda like a little kid sitting up super straight in kindergarten. It is adorable!
We have been practising our Sit and Down commands and doing very well. He also walks well on the lead but he can be a bit lazy and just stop walking.
Due to his size, Chiesl will be best suited to an experienced owner, and one preferable with large breed experience. He is very gentle and calm but will need to be kept in check as he grows. Continuing obedience training will benefit him greatly and regular gentle exercise will help him to grow and develop properly.
Chizzy (as he is affectionately known) came to us in a very malnourished state. He had little to no muscle mass and was very ill. As a large breed dog, being so malnourished during such an important stage of growth has affected him a little. His muscle and strength development is a few weeks behind what it should be, so he is still a little weak and floppy for his age – but his attitude and determination to do everything his foster siblings do are really helping him get to where he needs to be. A lot of TLC, strict feeding routines and medical care has saved this baby’s life, and he really does deserve the very best of homes.
Due to being a very large breed dog this has the potential to impact on his joints if he is not looked after properly. His future forever family will need to feed him a very high quality diet and also add in some joint supplements such to help him develop into the huge and beautiful boy he should be! Exercise will need to be monitored until he is strong enough to handle any strenuous activities. Swimming will be very good for him – however we haven’t tried this just yet! But he never seems phased by anything that’s goes on around him so he will most likely love it!
He will most likely be a low energy dog and does tend to be fairly lazy. Being a lazy dog does not mean he doesn’t have to go for a good walk everyday though. To keep him fit and healthy he will need regular exercise and his new family will need to keep him motivated.
We are looking for a home where someone is home most days and another playful but gentle dog would be ideal. He will need to be allowed inside and to sleep inside on a warm, comfy bed. Any family would need to be committed to his ongoing health, wellbeing, training and continued socialisation. Including him as a part of the family and taking him along on all the adventures is also a must.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
