About Hotham
He looks all serious in some of his photos but Hotham is anything but!
Hotham is a fun loving pup who enjoys pretty much all aspects of life. He is people orientated and enjoys just being where the family is. Hotham likes to play with toys and enjoys a puppy version of tug of war as well. When it is time for a nap he is more than happy to curl up in your lap, in his bed by your feet, or on the lounge next to you. Hotham has a medium length, scruffy coat and attractive markings that will make him stand out. He is a fan of chomping on chewy treats and will probably enjoy a good old bone when he’s older.
Hotham has been well socialised while in care. He has been in care with his siblings and some large breed puppies and adult dogs. Hotham is friendly and happy around the other dogs but doesn’t like it if they get too rough because he is only small still. He enjoys playing games with his siblings such as wrestling and chasings. Hotham will require daily exercise as he grows up and will benefit from ongoing socialisation as any pup would.
During his time in care, Hotham has begun basic training. Despite his young age he already knows how to sit on command and is now learning how to walk on a lead. He is food motivated and this makes training easier. It is very important that his new family are committed to continuing his training as he will have much more to learn. Hotham has begun toilet training and crate training as well.
We are looking for a home where Hotham will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another dog and/or where someone is home more often than not so that he can get the attention that he deserves. Hotham should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night out of the weather. At this point in time he has not met other types of pets but being a young puppy he may be taught to live harmoniously with others.
If you would like to make this cutie a part of your family then let us know.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
