On Hold
About “Harry” Heartbreaker. Melbourne
Harry’s adorably eager to make his humans happy, and has an air of sweet, youthful innocence that melts your heart. Harry is cutest when he’s dozing upside-down with his big barrel-chest exposed for patting…or maybe it’s when he trips himself over and skids on the floor, throwing his toys around the house! Or maybe it’s when he sticks his great big backside in the air, and leans his head on your chest to get a cuddle. Whoever adopts him will be able to choose their favourite “Harry habits” to fall in love with!
Harry likes the idea of going for a walk—his tail wags like a helicopter!—but is ready for a nap after a short, leisurely stroll. He’s great on lead, although (like many newly-rescued greyhounds) he sometimes gets overwhelmed and turns into a statue! Lots of pats and encouragement are enough to get him moving. Harry’s a fast learner and eager to please, and knows his name and what “no” means. He’s calm around small dogs (not cats), and thinks children (seven or over) are just the right size for cuddling.
Harry has lots of human and canine company in his foster home, so we think he’d like to live with at least another dog for constant company. His foster carers say he’s been an absolute joy and will be sad to see him go, but will be very happy if this handsome heartbreaker can find a home that will love him forever!
