About Jeff
Jeff is a young dog. Probably almost 1 year old, very smart and a quick learner. Beautiful extra shiny black coat, medium length. Such soft and floppy ears are gorgeous to tickle. He has very short legs and long body. Microchip info says he is a labrador. Vet says could have some Bassett from the shape and length of his legs.
He has started to respond to his name Jeff and has learned sit, wait, and outside with treats very quickly.
Jeff is not well socialised but played well with my son's super boisterous huge lab. Not agressive at all but defensive with other dogs. He likes chewing things he finds interesting, unstuffing pet beds, running around with sticks etc.
He seems to respond or be drawn to men. Loves my adult sons, will pass me over for a man anytime. No hangups that I have seen at all. He has a huge bark. Sounds like a proper loud Labrador bark. Its quite funny when he does bark because you aren't expecting a big bark from a small guy and its very occasional. He goes crazy for the water from the hose, but he didn't seem to be too interested in the water at the beach then when I carried him out of his depth he just floated around relaxed in my hands. He swam when I let him go. No trying to climb on me, just heading for the sand. He is very interested in the smells on and in the sand.
I have never met a dog that loves to hop in the shower like Jeff he is drawn to the water falling he is very happy for a shampoo. He wants to be near people and is sleeping on a mat at my bedside at night. Not fussed by thunder, listens the chicken sounds next door but not showing any other signs of interest in them.
Jeff is in care in Frankston
