About Angel ~ $99 Adoption Fee ~
Angel is a smart, loving and sweet natured dog, who really enjoys having company and can easily relax watching tv or just quietly following you around the house and yard. Being cross Kelpie however she gets bored easily without toys, is very agile and active and loves going for long walks and runs, to wear out her abundant energy. She will tend to pull on the lead initially but will calm down and walk just fine with some guidance.
She is very curious and friendly and plays well with other dogs but she does also have a nervous side, and easily gets overwhelmed by larger dogs, overzealous plays or when surrounded in number and will need reassurance. She's fine with cats, and probably not suited to smaller children 6 yo or below due to her exuberance. She travels well in a car, has a good grip of the sit command and learning others, waits patiently for meals and will come when called. But if stimulated can get too distracted to obey and will probably need further training. She's fine with her no. 2s but has some issues with her peeing, and is currently on medication to help control leaks.
She is around 22kg, medium sized with beautiful face and markings around her eyes. Her coat does shed but not too much, and due to her current incontinence does require quick washes occasionally. A small trade off for the beautiful dog that she is. She would make a loyal, loving and entertaining companion for anyone who is active or has space for her to run around in. She is located at Mountain Creek, QLD.

Medical notes
Angel is incontinent and requires medication, for more information please read below.
Hormone-responsive incontinence occurs in neutered dogs of both sexes and occasionally in spayed female cats but occurs most commonly in female dogs. The pet can urinate normally, but they leak urine while resting. Hormone-responsive incontinence can occur months to years after a pet is neutered, in this case Angel was previously speyed prior to coming into our care. Angel is currently on Stilboestrol 1mg (1 tablet per day) this medication is really helping with her incontinence. Stilboestrol is very cheap and costs roughly about $10 per month.
Angel is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped & heart worm treated.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. The 10 day trial period commences once the animal is collected.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
