About Oscar ~ Chihuahua X Pom (On Trial 1/4/17)
Meet Oscar, a very gorgeous 10 month old Chihuahua X Pomeranian.
Oscar should come with a royal title, like His Royal Highness Oscar or King Oscar, ruler of his domain. Oscar is a pint sized 2.5kgs and has been known to boss around one of his foster brothers who is a much larger 45kgs. He gets on very well with his other 2 foster siblings who are both docile Labradors.
Oscar is sweet, loving, and a total delight to have around the home. He has the features of a Chihuahua with the colouring and tail of a Pomeranian. His shortish coat is mainly a reddish tan, cream underbelly, and some black streaks on the luscious flowing locks on his curling tail. Oscar will need regular bathing, but clipping is not necessary.
Oscar loves human company, but would be fine with a working family as long as he had furry company. Oscar loves a game of tug and playing with soft toys. He is lightening fast running around the yard.
Oscar, being small, would be better suited to families with older children. As long as they are happy to bask in his royal highness golden glow.
Oscar is great on the lead, and will sit and stay on command. He has not been tested with cats or pocket pets. Oscar is being royally educated in the ways of being house trained, using a doggy door and he is going well. Oscar was previously trained to a pee mat. Oscar will happily sleep in his bed, but much prefers human beds.
Oscar is not a fan of visits to the vet, but with proper introductions he could learn to love them. Oscar is a heart breaker, with his handsomeness and loving nature, but he needs the right home. He is looking for someone to love him, to continue his training, and to teach him that vets are nice people too! He would like to be provided with an undemanding furry friend.
Oscar's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. Oscar is being cared for in Singleton, NSW 2330

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
