About Maggie ~ Bull Arab x (on trial 14/04/17)
Meet Maggie! A 2 year old Bull Arab X with so much love to give. She is such a sweet girl with a beautiful affectionate nature, a real gentle giant. She loves people and gets on well with the other dogs she has met while in foster care.
Maggie is happy to be out in the backyard to during the day and loves coming inside at night to spend time with her family, she will stay on her bed when she is told too and will stand at the back door if she needs to go outside, she hasn’t had any accidents since being in foster care.
Maggie loves to go for a walk and she is a super easy to handle. She enjoys a gently stroll, next to her human and doesn’t pull at all on the lead. She is interested in other dogs but never barks or pulls on the lead. Given her size she is the easiest dog I have ever walked!
Maggie is in foster care with 2 Rottweiler’s, who she loves and gets on really well with. She is not overly active but loves to chase and play with her rottie friends when they get the afternoon zoomies. Maggie also enjoys splashing around in a small pool to cool off when the weather is hot. I have not heard Maggie bark since being in care, even when her foster brother and sister bark.
Maggie will need some additional training, she is eager to please and food motivated, which makes training easier. She has already come a long way since being in foster care, she can sit and is learning to stay and come when called.
Maggie is a long legged girl and while she doesn’t jump up on people, she might accidentally knock little children over due to her size. She has not shown any signs of aggression and is definitely a lover not a fighter, she will show her love with lots of kisses for her human and doggie friends.
If you think you could offer Maggie a loving, caring and happy forever home, please contact his foster carer Amanda by email amandalloyd83@hotmail.com. Maggie is located in Charlestown NSW.
Maggie’s adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
