About Bartok ~ Kelpie X ~ 5 months (on trial 29/04/17)
Bartok is a 5 month old kelpie X. He is happy, playful and loves cuddles. Bartok is great around other dogs and people, and loves to try and play with every dog he meets. He is the sweetest, friendliest dog and just wants your love and attention.
Bartok loves to go for walks and is great on the lead. If you stop he will wait for you, and he will sit when asked before crossing the road. He is great to run with and loves to play fetch and other fun games. He is happy to go outside and relax, but loves being inside with you, cuddling and following you around. He does jump when he is excited and loves to be lifted up and hugged, however he is very good and if you tell him to sit, he will stop and sit patiently.
Bartok is toilet trained. He currently sleeps inside and uses puppy pads of an evening, however he needs your attention to let him outside if you have no doggy door as he is still a puppy. He is good with food and will happily sit and wait for his meal. Bartok is clever and learns things very quickly, he just needs someone who is happy to show him and be consistent with his training.
Bartok would be best suited to a patient family, who is active and has the time to play with him and give him lots of attention. If you have other dogs at home for him to play with, that is even better. He would suit a medium or large yard as he does have a lot of energy and needs space to play. He is truly the most wonderful dog and will bring so much joy to the family he joins.
Bartok is microchipped and has had his first 2 vaccinations as well as worm and flea control. As Bartok is not desexed yet, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. He will need to be returned to our vet for desexing on 30/4/17.
Bartok's adoption fee is $450 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. He has been treated for fleas and worms as is microchipped.
Bartok is being cared for in Carrington, NSW 2294. If you can offer Bob a forever home please email a copy of the Adoption Questionnaire to: sarah_jae17@hotmail.com

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
