This is Sky, a beautiful little Kelpie mix puppy.
When she arrived, she refused to leave her crate. She stayed at the back where we couldn't get to her. She dropped her ears and tucked her tail between her legs, she was absolutely terrifed.
After a short while we got her out and took her inside, where she met my daughter. My daughter Cassie and Sky, formed an instant bond, from the terrifed puppy in the crate, to 5 minutes later ears up, tail wagging frantically and bouncing around, she was a different dog.
Of the 4 pups we have she is true to the Kelpie breed, an active, playful, intelligent pup. After 2 days of building trust with her, she now knows its ok to play with her siblings whilst Cassie isnt around. From chasing a water bottle with dog treats in it, walking backwards jumping on it to tip the treats out, to playing tug of war and wrestling, and barking at her brother to encourage play time.
She is also very independent and won't sit on your lap. She prefers jumping onto your lap, giving you a big kiss, wiggling her butt and tail then taking off again to sleep on the floor.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
