On Hold
About Heath ~ 4yo Border Collie x (behavioural hold)
Introducing the very handsome Heath! Heath is a 4 year old Border Collie X.
When Heath came into care he was very timid around people, but good with other dogs. He is currently in foster care with 2 other dogs and gets along well with them.
He is coming out of his shell a little more each day, but is still a little timid when meeting new people and other dogs for the first time. Heath is looking for a family who will be at home with him to give him the reassurance he needs. Heath would love for his furever family to continue his training as he is a very smart dog, he appears to be house trained when we can get him to come inside, but he prefers the security of his kennel at the moment.
Heath loves attention and nothings better than a good scratch. Heath is a very playful dog and loves to toss his toys around
Heath would love to go to a furever home where he has another play mate to keep him company, but it's not essential, so long as you spend lots of time with him.
Heath is quite happy to be outside during the day and sleeps in his kennel at night. Heath would make the perfect addition to any family.
If you're interested in Heath please contact Michelle on 0430 684 819. Heath is located in Heathcote, NSW.
Heath's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
