About Doug
Dougie Dougie Dougie
My handsome little fella.
This boy is the sweetest, most gentle boy of all. A real sook one would say.
A boy that is both friendly and social with other dogs of all ages and sizes and also cats and kids as well. He is in foster care with 7 small breed dogs and is fantastic with them. But is also social and loving to dogs the same size and bigger than him. He is submissive in nature and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
He is in foster care with 3 indoor only cats and is great with them all so a home with cats would definitely suit him as well.
He is very human focused so a home with young kids would suit him fine.
Doug would suit a home with another dog, one that wants to cuddle and play. We think he would be too lonely as an only dog but he may suit as one if someone wants him as a complete companion and spends a fair amount of time with him.
He would do best in a home where he is both indoors and outdoors but he suits better sleeping indoors at night and he would even love to cuddle in bed if you let him.
A walk a day would suit. Or maybe an adventure. He does enjoy the car as well.
He is a little shy at times so a home that understands that is essential. Not often he is shy but when he is, his humans must understand that he needs a little convincing to move through something scary.
Dougie is located in Rutherford and his adoption fee is $400.

In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
