About Moira (On Hold)
(on hold) update 21. 9. 09: well moira really deserves the "mum-of-the-year" award. She's just done such an amazing job, with all bubs in her litter well cared for. They have their eyes open, and love to play and do binkies! she watches them with amusement from her balcony where she she can go without having them attack her milk supply. She's fully litter trained, and will hopefully teach this early to her kids. Moira and her babies are all available and looking for new homes to go to when weaned. Update 16. 9. 09: a litter of baby bunnies were orphaned a few days ago, and two have joined moira's litter! these babies were the runts, and not coping very well until moira took them in. Despite a huge size difference between them and her own babies, moira is tenderly loving them the same as she does with her own. This just proves what an exceptional bunny moira is! in the recently updated photo, you can see one of the new babies on the left. The orphans still have a struggle for survival, however we're quietly confident these little fighters have a good chance!
update 15. 9. 09: baby bunnies now have their eyes open!
moira came from the pound with her five newborn kits. She is not available for adoption until her babies are weaned, which will be in the last week of october. Expressions of interest in her and the bubs will be taken in this time, and the following weeks will give lucky new owners time to prepare their homes for a bunny (or two!)
moira is a lovely and affectionate girl, who is an outstanding mother. Through all the stress of giving birth in a pound, and being moved to rescue, she has tended and cared for them, even loosing her own weight in order to produce milk to feed her growing kits. She is now on a good diet, and is putting on her lost weight. Being a rather large girl, she does eat a lot! moira is one of those girls that comes into rescue and is extra special. She has the loveliest temperament, and doesn't want to leave your side. When she sees you approach she will run up to meet you. Keep watching and refreshing this page to watch moira's kits grow. Photos will be updated regularly. To express you interest in adopting moira or her babies when they are ready, please visit our website and fill in our online enquiry form at: http://porschesrescue.
