About Fira
Giant Blue-Eyed Portuguese Beauty!
Hi my name is Fira! I am four years old and speak fluent Portuguese! I migrated to Australia from Portugal when I was two and now I am looking for a new family. Ideally my new family would have a nice big couch as I do love a nanna nap (or two… or three). I’m not a high energy dog though I really do enjoy my on-lead walks every day and I will reward you by walking ever so nicely! I have lots of personality and I really LOVE people, like I mean LOVE people and I will go out of my way to meet a new person or two and to collect pats and cuddles. Come to think of it, I’m a bit of a love bug!
I currently live with a cat very happily (even if the cat does sometimes steal my favourite spot on the couch). I have some doggie friends and could happily live with a male dog if he was the laid back, relaxed type. I tend to be selective with my doggie friends as my vision isn’t that great (owing to my white colour) and so if a dog is all bouncy and full-on, I can get frightened and make lots of noise so the dog doesn’t come to close. I look to my handler for guidance though and am happy to be led away if there is a dog I don’t like. It helps when I have a confident handler and they know how to get the other dog to be calm and polite when they meet me. I’m not interested in the beach or the dog park though, I prefer the quiet life and I can take or leave other dogs, for me it’s all about the humans :)
I’ve not lived with children before and had minimal exposure to small children but I think I’d probably like some older kids to play with (the more people in my family the more cuddles and belly rubs I can get!)
Could you be my new family?
Fira is a real sweetheart and has grown up in a loving home. She has a heart the size of a lion and will make a wonderful addition to the right family. Have you got room on your couch and in your heart for this beautiful girl?
