About Mr Murphy
Mr Murphy was found in an extremely poor condition on a property near Glenreagh several months ago. He was very close to death, he spent some time in hospital as he was extremely anaemic. It took him several months to return to good health. He is now a beautiful active kelpie who needs either to work or to be a member of an active family. He would do very well in obedience, herding, agility or any of the dog sports. He is a little shy of humans which is understandable given what he has been through but once he gets to know you he is fine, he will run from strangers and when cornered submits straight away. he is a beautiful sensitive young kelpie who has had a bad start in life which is sad. He will chase a ball but has not learnt to bring it back. He is desexed, microchipped and immunised really for his new home.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, \ fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
