About Prada
Prada was surrendered to us at 3 days old as she had a cleft palate and a hair lip and was unable to feed off her mum. She was tube fed and then hand fed by her foster mum until she was able to manage food on her own. She has grown up on an acreage property with many other dogs of different breeds and sizes, as well as cats, horses, chickens and other animals. She is a lovely gentle soul that just wants to love and be loved. She is very easy going and well behaved. She can be a little bit timid when meeting new people for the first time, but once comfortable will be in your lap wanting lots of cuddles. She has a happy, playful nature and is great with kids of all ages.
Medical notes
Prada has had two surgeries to repair her cleft, but unfortunately due to the complexity of Prada's cleft, these were unsuccessful, although there was a definite improvement seen. Her third surgery was innovative and has healed her cleft completely. Her new owner should still be very careful about letting her chew on hard or sharp items as this may puncture the cleft - for example never give her raw bones to chew. Rawhide is fine.
Adoption details
Email or phone the clinic to arrange a meet and greet. If approved, an Adoption Agreement will need to be completed. Prada will go to her new home on a 2 week trial basis. At the end of this period, if all goes well,her paperwork will be forwarded to her new family.
