About Max
Hi my name is Max and if you're looking for a guard dog to scare off the bad guys, I'm your dog! I have a deep scary bark but don't be afraid, I'm actually just a big cheeky teddy bear! I just sound scary. I really wouldn't hurt a fly, except maybe a cat. I did get in trouble for chasing my foster mum's cat. I tried to tell her we were only playing, but she thinks I should probably go to a hime without cats, just in case.
Things you might like to know about me:
- I'm desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated, and heartworm-treated.
- I'm currently eating Advance Large Breed biscuits, but I'm not fussy and will eat almost anything.
- Even though I look like an adult, the humans tell me I'm only 1 year old and still a youngster, so I'm still learning what I can and can't do. I just need some time and encouragement to be the best dog I can be.
- I'm just a big boofhead who loves cuddles and playing with my friends, just like any other puppy, and I can't wait to find my forever family one day.
Love,
Max

Adoption details
Our goal is to match pets' personalities and exercise/training requirements with people whose lifestyle they are best suited to. This reduces the chances of the pet winding up in a pound again. Please don't feel offended by our adoption process, it is for everyone's and every animal's benefit:
1. Submit application for adoption (obtain at Best Friends Pet Rescue website).
2. Homechecks are conducted on short-listed approved applicant(s).
3. Best match selected according to the pet's personality and needs.
4. Successful applicant notified, and must place holding deposit while transport/pickup arrangements made.
5. Adoption transaction completed.
