Meet Noah! This little pocket rocket has a charming personality
He has only been in care for a short time but boy has he made progress. He was quite shy at first but has really started to come out of his shell this week as he begins to feel better. Noah is a real fighter who came into care with eye infections, skin problems and the worst case of roundworm his foster mum has seen in a small pup. His recovery has been tremendous, as each day goes his personality shines a little brighter, and his energy level is picking up.
Noah is a happy little fella who absolutely loves playing with toys and other dogs. He is inquisitive, loving, and loyal by nature, and often follows his foster parents around the house or sleeps at their feet. Noah can sit on command, and taught himself to use the doggie door on his first day in care. He started taking himself out to the toilet within a week, however, he does still require help from his humans at times to remember to go out. Give Noah some praise or tell him he’s a good boy, and watch as his tail or whole body wiggles with pleasure. Please no yelling, loud or unexpected noise, as this frightens him terribly and he scoots off into a corner cowering. Though not a prolific barker, he will make an excellent guard dog as an adult.
Noah is highly intelligent, and as a working breed he will require an active lifestyle with daily walks and mental stimulation to ensure his continued good behaviour. He would do best with a family who has experience owning Kelpie’s or other working dog breeds, or is willing to do some research as he does exhibit some of the typical working dog qualities. He is extremely well behaved and easily corrected, with the right training he will be an incredible addition to any family. Puppy training would be advantageous, he is young and does require direction but he is a quick learner and will enjoy the challenge.
