About Dorothy
In March 2017 Dorothy's whole world fell apart when she found herself impounded in Hawkesbury. She was in poor condition, needed dental work, and appeared to have given birth to a couple of litters in her time. Staff estimated her to be around 10 years old due to her appearance.
Thanks to an amazing foster carer, Dorothy has rediscovered her love of life and has a spring in her step.
She has been desexed, had some teeth removed, and a combination of a premium grain free food and Malaseb baths has restored her lovely coat.
Dorothy is now ready to find her forever home. Her foster carer tells us that she enjoys a morning walk and is then happy to laze around with her humans. (Without a walk Dorothy does have excess energy and may dig to burn some of that off!) She doesn't play with balls, but LOVES her splash pool and stuffed and squeaky toys. She is uninterested in caged pocket pets, but does show interest in cats, so is probably best suited to a home without any kitties.
Dorothy is dog social but is very happy being the sole focus of your attention. Despite her more mature years, Dorothy will benefit from being in a home with confident experienced owners who have some experience of the breed. She is also best suited to a home with older children.
Now that we can see what a beautiful girl Dorothy is, we estimate her age to be 6 - 8 years.
