About Penny ~ Boxer x ~ 10mo (On Trial 2/7/17)
Hi! My name is Penny and I'm a 1 year old Boxer x girl.
I am energetic and love to play. I am very clever and learn things quickly, even naughty things! I love to go for a walk and see all the sights there are to see and smell.
I've learnt to sit and shake paws when I'm waiting for my dinner. I am crate trained and sleep safe and sound all night inside my crate and never make a peep unless I need to go for a little trip outside, but I quickly return to my bed and quietly go back to sleep.
I love a cuddle from my human friends and get very excited when I meet new people and want to jump up at them. I would not be very good with small children as I might knock them over. I can jump very high because I am part boxer. I have never tried to jump a fence, but would probably be able to clear 4ft if I tried. My foster mum thinks I would be great at agility.
I love to chase a ball and really need an active family who will take me for lots of walks and adventures. My foster mum is careful to ensure nothing important is left laying around that I might chew if I'm bored. I am best as an only dog and I don't really get along with cats. I am fascinated by everything, sometimes too much and pocket pets and birds get a bit scared of me.
I have lots of love to give and would love a new family to give it to.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
