About Lawrence
Lawrence is a loveable friendly fellow, who needs a family who will help him overcome his anxiety & his fear of other dogs.
Lawrence loves squeaky toys & happily keeps them piled together in his bed, when he isn't playing with them. He also loves water, swimming in it, jumping in it, even putting his head underneath it to find his toys.
He is fine when introduced slowly to other dogs, & when he realises they mean him no harm, he is happy to hang out with them. He can't tell us what happened to him to make him so fearful of other dogs, but it is something his wonderful foster family are working through with him, as well as teaching him new tricks & commands, which he easily learns, as he is a very smart boy!
Although he is around a year old he plays like a puppy & loves doing zoomies around the yard. Lawrence walks well on a lead & enjoys being out & about discovering new places & exploring new areas, as long as he is hanging with his people he is happy.
With the right family giving him support & helping him over come his fear of other dogs he will be the most wonderful companion & family member.Lawrence would suit some one who doesn't go out much, as he is more than happy in his own environment, with his toys, his paddle pool & some one to love!
Medical notes
Lawrence has just started on a course of anti anxiety medications which should help him over his fear of other dogs. He also has taken part in a training course to give him more confidence, which he passed. He has a way to go before he is completely comfortable around strange dogs, but he is heading in the right direction.
Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifrstyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
