Meeko

Talk about the perfect puppy!

Meeko is gorgeous – she is such a pretty girl with lovely markings and a sleek short coat. She also has a beautiful calm and gentle nature that is just to die for. Meeko is everyone’s friend – people of all ages mean lots of nice pats and cuddles, and she returns the love with kisses if you let her! She enjoys playing with toys of all different types, chasing a ball, and even making play toys with random items she finds at the dog park.

Meeko loves to be around her people. She has good manners in the house and will sit with you quietly in the evenings. Meeko also loves cuddle time on the bed or lounge and is a great snuggle buddy.

During her time in care, Meeko has been well socialised with other dogs of varying shapes and sizes. She enjoys the company of other dogs and playing with them as long as they are not too rough. Meeko will be a decent sized dog when she is older and will require daily exercise and stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. She currently enjoys daily trips to the off-lead dog park and will benefit from continuing to visit off-lead dog parks or beaches so that she can play and socialise.

Meeko is progressing very well with her training while in foster care. She has learnt how to sit, drop, walk on a lead and she has great recall at the off-lead dog park. Meeko is food motivated, but not obsessed, and is willing to please. Being young, she will need a family who are committed to continuing her training so that she reaches her full potential. Meeko is also crate trained and sleeps throughout the night, and is virtually toilet trained.

We are looking for a home where Meeko will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. Ideally, she would have a home with another friendly dog who is not too rough. Regardless, she will require a home with another dog or where someone is home more often than not to keep her company. Meeko should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm bed to sleep on inside out of the weather. She has briefly met cats and we expect that she should be able to live harmoniously with feline friends as long as she is introduced properly and given some supervised training.
