About Kurt
I am a very sweet & gentle boy, who is social and enjoys being with people, especially for a tummy rub and some affection. I enjoy saying hello to other dogs and am well socialised. I am learning basic obedience commands such as sit, drop, come, wait, shake hands & mat training and am proving to be a very quick learner. I am very responsive to training and would do very well at dog obedience classes and an excellent candidate for agility training - my foster carers call me a pocket rocket. But I would need some work to heel on a lead if going to classes as I am currently being walked on a harness and I like to walk out in front. I would do well in an active household that likes to go for walks or jogs as I do have energy to burn. I am well behaved when no one is at home and sleep by the door, but be aware that I store up my energy for your homecoming and get very excited to have people home again! I am also house trained and well behaved inside.
I am sensitive to loud machinery such as lawn mowers, whipper snippers, blenders and need to be removed when these items are in use. I like to be mentally stimulated such as having to find my food and puzzle toys, learning new tricks, playing soccer and chasing flies & birds in the back yard. I enjoy chewing on a bone, but don’t chew on other items or dig holes… except to bury my bone! But the thing I love most is going on a walk every day.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
