About Derby
Derby is a lovely sweet natured and friendly great Dane x girl (mostly great Dane from what we can see look wise and tempermanent). She has walked into foster care with 15-20 other dogs and just loved her new setting. She has shown to be great with all dogs she has met (although we haven't tested her with small or fluffy dogs) but we would be surprised if she showed any issues with any Dog she ever meets.
She would be best suited to a home without cats or pocket pets as she is a tiny bit too curious for our liking but she has shown to be good with livestock and horses so a home with these may suit her well.
Derby would do best in a home with another playful dog as she loves to run around and rumble. And get her doggy cuddles in as well. A home with young kids would suit her fine as her previous home was one with a newborn and an 18 month old and she definitely showed to have a loving and caring streak with them.
She would suit a home with fencing over 5ft and rural fencing is definitely suitable as well as she is used to this. She has shown to have good manners, her basic obedience down pat, she has good recall and is learning proper leash skills fast in care. She is good both indoors and outdoors and just would love a home that can love and spoil her.
Derby is located in the Hunter region near Gresford NSW and her adoption fee is $350 which will include her microchip, up to date vaccinations, desexings, regular flea, tick, worming and heart worm treatment.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
