About Kit *On Trial in Her New Home*
*KIT IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* If you are looking for a fun-loving yet calm and gentle dog we have found the girl for you!! Everybody meet Kit; she is a friendly, young Shar Pei cross German Shepherd with so much love to give. She is looking for a forever home who will love her in return; will it be with you?
Adorable Kit loves spending time with her foster carer’s own dogs (even though they are much bigger than her!!); they love to romp and play making us agree she’ll need a doggie companion in her new home if you were to be away at work for much of the day. And when Kit has had enough she likes to lay in the grass with her favourite toys. She isn’t a ball fanatic, but give her a football and she will be your best friend forever! Kit is not much of a barker though sometimes during play she likes to give a ‘yap’ to get her new friends to join in.
Enjoy some video of Kit: https://youtu.be/WXTTKmtQEF0
Kit was brought home from the pound already with beautiful manners, so we think she had a lot of love in her old home. This clever girl knows how to ‘sit’, ‘come’ and walks very well on a lead; she gets excited every morning knowing it’s time for her daily walk! She travels well in a car sitting nicely in the back seat. Kit knows her name and is easily trainable although she doesn’t always take a treat with training, but she does love her human food so cheese and kabana. She is always very gentle with food and never snaps when being given a treat.
Weighing in at 16kgs Kit is definitely more Shar Pei sized than German Shepherd. She currently sleeps outside in a kennel with her doggy friends though she would love an indoor/outdoor lifestyle in her forever home with plenty of cuddles from her humans – she is toilet-trained. She is not a needy dog and will sit nicely waiting for affection, but if you take too long she might give you a gentle nudge and a lick (with her purple-spotted Shar Pei tongue!) when she really wants a pat.
Kit isn’t fazed by much, she is happy to sit by herself or to join in on some fun! Although she loves to play, she knows not to jump up so rarely does making her great around children, in fact she is living with an 8-year-old boy who always brings his cousins around for a play without any dramas. As she is not in your face and so gentle, Kit would be suitable for all ages of humans as well as with all breeds of dog both big and small. Although we are unsure about cats, she has seen her carer’s cat through their glass sliding door and doesn’t seem interested at all.
So if you’ve got the loving forever home where Kit will enjoy the attention she deserves then please download and complete a SARG Dog Adoption Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet/

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
