About Matilda
Matilda is a very sweet, sensitive girl who came to Wallys as a girl who was frightened of everything. Through dedication and love from her foster family Matilda is learning to love life and everything in it.
Matilda loves to snuggle with her humans and willingly come to her humans for pats. With the reassurance from her doggie companions, she is most certainly gaining trust with her humans and enjoying the love and affection she receives.
Matilda has made a very special friend whilst in care and that has been her host brother Floyd. Floyd has been instrumental in teaching Matilda how to trust people and the world around her, for this reason Matilda will need to find a home where she will have another dog to share her time with... a special dog who Matilda can become best friends with and do everything together.
Matilda loves spending time with her doggy friends and her favourite place is either at the dog park or beach. She is a very submissive girl who gets along with everyone she meets. Matilda is progressing well with basic training including walking on lead and recall training.
Matilda sleeps inside of a night and is usually found snuggled up close to her host brother. She is going well with her toilet training and as long as she access to the outdoors doesn't have accidents. She has learnt to sit for her dinner and doesn't show any signs of food aggression.
Due to Matilda's fear of the world around her, she will require a family who are willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new home, she will cope best in a calm environment. She would make a wonderful family dog. She doesn't jumo up but would be best suited to children over the age of 7. Matilda will need a family who can commit to her ongoing training and socialisation to ensure she can always participate in family activities outside the home environment.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
