About Ned
Ned is looking or a special family who is willing to give him the time he needs to adjust to his new life!
Ned can be very nervous in new environments. He becomes over whelmed easily but does feel a little safer if he is with a confident dog who is happy to take on new things.
He has had quite a bit of exposure but would rather be in calmer environments. Too many people at once is something he is unable to cope with easily.
Due to his insecurities Ned will be best suited to a home with children aged 10+ who will understand that all dogs need their personal space, especially while they are trying to settle into a new home.
Clever Ned has a lovely personality and is a very happy, energetic boy who just wants to have fun. He is very gentle and incredibly smart.
Ned is full of energy, he will go and go then flop for a nap and then he is ready to do it all again.
He has been learning some basic training and manners and will now 'sit' & 'wait' for his meals. He has also knows how to 'drop' and 'shake' hands
.
He is a very intelligent boy and with the encouragement from a reward he is more than happy to learn new things and is very pleased when he receives praise.
Ned will benefit greatly from obedience training to help him continue developing into the wonderful dog he can be and we feel it will also be important for his socialisation and to keep building his confidence and help him create a wonderful bond with his new family.
Ned likes being indoors and has very nice manners when he is inside. He will 'stay' at the door until he is invited in. We will be looking for a home where Ned gets to spend time indoors with his family and has the security of sleeping inside overnight. He is fully toilet trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside
He loves playing with his carers and gets along extremely well with the other dogs in the home. He is currently in care with a female Retriever and they are great mates. Although he is fine with smaller dogs he will be looking for home with a desexed female dog of similar size with high energy levels to keep him entertained through the day. Ned has also been with a Kelpie and they were also a good match
Ned is all about having fun, he loves playing with a ball and enjoys a game of fetch and will happily give you the ball to continue the game.
As stated above, he is quite nervous around new people and different environments so a slow introduction will be needed to give him the time he needs to find his feet.
He likes to say hello to the resident cat and walks straight up to him with interest but shows no sign of chasing as he is told to be 'gentle'.
He enjoys his walks and doesn't pull but sometimes needs a bit of reassurance if things get a little hectic. Ned has no issues in the car, he's more than happy to sprawl over the back seat and have a nap.
Ned will be looking for a home with another energetic desexed dog who is already settled in their environment to give him companionship and help him learn the ropes.
***We feel that this is very important for his development so only homes with a female dog of similar size and energy levels will be considered***
If you think you can offer Ned the perfect home we look forward to hearing from you

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
