About Honey
Like her name, Honey is a sweet girl who would make a great family member (children older than 6 years please). She can be jumpy and does forget her size. Honey loves to be around people and is best suited to a calm quiet home with structure and routine. She is a clever girl who already knows lots of commands (sit, down, shake, roll over) and would love to learn more. Honey also likes to play with tennis balls and will bring them back to you! She is very food motivated so further training should be a breeze! Feed her meals from enrichment as she eats very quickly, and has shown low level Resource Guarding ie protective of her food. Honey is best suited to an owner who is home most of the day. She can be anxious at times so having a quiet place of her own inside where she can go to settle would be great. Honey is a 'high jump champion', able to jump 6ft kennel walls in the shelter so must stay indoors when left alone, and have supervised outdoor time. She was social with other dogs in meets during her Behaviour Assessment but can be quite tense at first and gets a little pushy at times. She may be suited to living with a calm, social, tolerant, respectful, male doggie friend in her new home. They must at time of adoption. She is not suited to visiting dog parks or off lead areas.
