About Jayda ~ Staffy girl ~ 5yo (on trial 2/7/17)
Jayda is a 5 year old, female, Staffy x (medium size). She is loving and energetic dog with an affectionate nature. She was raised with 4 cats and gets on well with other dogs - loving chase games with her doggy friend.
Jayda eats a mixture of dry and wet food, and enjoys the occasional raw bone and liver treats.
She is housetrained and sleeps inside which keeps her calm and warm at night. She loves to be outside with her doggy companion and enjoys exploring the yard, learning to play fetch games and relaxing in her wading pool. Her favourite rope chew toy gets a regular workout indoors and out.
When walking, Jayda is inquisitive, eager to sniff out new experiences, including water, and meet other dogs. She walks reasonably well on a harness and lead and will need regular daily walks. Jayda understands some basic commands such as sit and down, but needs more training. She had an injury to the knee of her back right leg and received treatment. The injury will need to be monitored by a vet. This has not affected her agility and energy levels as she is still able to jump very high.
Like many dogs, Jayda is frightened of thunder and fireworks. She is safest inside during those times, but in case she does get caught outside during those times she will need secure 6ft fencing and gates to keep her safe.
Spending time with people is one of Jayda's favourite activities. She loves being around people and is very affectionate, enjoying cuddles and belly rubs.
Jayda would best be suited to a family with no children under 12 due to her exuberant personality. Ideally her forever family would be able to spend lots of time with her and include a calm friendly doggy companion if possible.
For more information or to meet Jayda, please contact her foster carer Lee-Anne on 0412 588 816 or email burkeleeanne7@gmail.com. Jayda is in foster care in Lake Munmorah, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jayda's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
