About Meyer
The very beautiful and lovable Meyer was born in the Red Centre. She was found on the streets of Tennant Creek by the local headmistress wandering around by herself, looking a bit worse for wear as a very young pup. The owner could not be found, so Meyer made her way to us for some love and care, in preparation for finding her a lovely home of her own. She is currently in foster care in Elliott.
It didn't take long for her to start putting on weight, growing a healthy coat, and start bouncing around happily.
She is a delicate looking little dog, and that's her nature as well. While playful and bouncy, she is also very gentle with the other puppies, dogs, and with humans as well.
Meyer would do very well in a family environment, where she will get a walk every day and lots of company, a nice garden to play in and explore, as well as a comfy bed with lots of toys (preferably with some kids attached to them).
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adoptees locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Meyer's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Meyer is fit and well, and ready to go. She will be wormed and heartworm treated again just before leaving the Territory. We suggest that with all dogs from the Territory, they are wormed 2 weekly until 5 months old before going on a normal worming regime, and have at least 1 further heartworm treatment after they arrive down south.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Shipping fees may or may not be included in the adoption fee, and this will be stated in the pet's profile.
