About McKenzie ~ Lab x Mastiff x Wolfie (Trial 11/3/17)
McKenzie ("Mac") is a 7 month old, female, Labrador x Mastiff x Wolfhound puppy. She is a sweet-tempered, fun-loving, family-friendly and loyal puppy. She adores children and loves playing with the kids in the family. In return, she asks for lots of love and time to perfect her training.
Mac is an ultra-intelligent lady who is very quick to learn and is keen to please. She is toilet trained, will sit, lay, wait and go to her bed when asked. She loves to sit on the couch to be as close as possible to her family but is learning that her bed is also an OK place to be.
At night, she will go to her crate with her toys and comfy bed and will sleep through the night (unless she is called on to protect her family!). If she finds a family who are OK for her to do so, she will be in her happiest of happy places sleeping on your bed. She's fine to be outside during the day when you're at work.
Mac is a social and affectionate puppy. She is a mix of large breeds so will she grow up to be a large dog. She would suit a home with another big or medium sized dog, or as an only dog. At 7 months old, she still has her puppy behaviours so will need a family who are willing to put in the time to continue training her and give her regular walks. Not suitable to toddlers, but excellent with children around 7 years and older.
She will impress you with how quickly she learns and how very clever and loving she is!
For more information or to meet McKenzie, please contact her foster carer Nicci on 0417 373 351 or email limespringhr@gmail.com. McKenzie is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
McKenzie's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
