Pierre and Franco

Meet Pierre and Franco! I'm already in love with these boys, and those who know me will realise I have a soft spot for the often over-looked white animals. When we were contacted by a kind pound staff member and asked to help these boys, their pound photo made them look big, white, and unpopular. They did not look too happy about finding themselves in a pound. Their reason for being dumped at the pound by their owner was that "they had grown too big". Knowing that they didn't have the "looks" for being easily rehomed, I agreed to take them on. So... you can imagine my utter surprise when they arrived at the shelter, and it wasn't two adult, huge bunnies looking out at me, but these utterly adorable young boys! They are small; what on earth was their previous owner talking about? They're young, they're friendly, they're gorgeous! Honestly, I'll never get over the amazing animals you'll come across at a pound. It often leads to a lot of puzzlement and wonder about what is wrong with people. What kind of person abandons two gorgeous bunnies at a pound?

Pierre (white boy on left) and Franco (grey eared boy on right) should never be told they are "too big" again. It's a joke. Bunnies require space to hop and play, regardless of whether they're Flemish Giants or Netherland Dwarfs. Pierre loves to explore and be on the move, whereas Franco prefers to snuggle into your lap. They are the perfect pair, and given how reliant they seem on each other, out first thought is to try rehoming them together. What a perfect pair, of perfectly sized bunnies!

Pierre and Franco have been with us for a few months, it is so sad to see they haven't had any enquiries. We should mention that Pierre may have megacolon, this means his poops are slightly larger and oddly shaped. He needs to have a very high fiber diet. Both boys are super clean and use a litter tray. They've attended a few public functions due to their laid back natures, and love meeting new people.
