About Mogwai ~ Staffy x (Adopted 27/7/17)
Hi, My name is Mogwai, but you can call me Moggy. I am the last one of my litter, but then again it's true what they say about saving the best till last. If you are looking for a destructive, boisterous young dog who will destroy your yard, chew your furniture and bark all day and night and get your neighbours off side and the council on on your case, then you will have to look elsewhere because I am pretty much a four legged angel with fur. I am told I am a Staffy X, I have no idea what that means, I just know that I am an adorable little girl who has a bucket load of love to give. I am not a very big dog, so never fear if you are in the market for a smaller canine companion. I fit that bill, without possible questions being raised to your masculinity while walking a small white fluffy thing around town, gentlemen.
I am just over 5 months old and I must be an old soul, because I don't carry on like I have far more energy than common sense. And whilst I do like to play and have fun, as all doggies do, I also enjoy just chilling out in your company. I am very friendly and loving and get along with all of my doggy kind. I currently live with four older dogs and I get along with them just fine without bothering them too much with any youthful exuberance that other dogs may exhibit. I also walk quite well on the lead and have reasonably good recall when off the lead as well. I have not been cat tested as far as I know.
I just want a home where I will be able to come in at night and spend time with my family. I know that inside time means quiet time, and I will come inside and lie on my bed and chill, as long as it is close to my humans. I am OK with being outside during the day, and I have lived in homes where I was the only dog, as well as being amongst other dogs. I would probably prefer having a doggy companion, but that is not essential. Due to my relaxed nature, I could be around those younger humans too. I am not overly food driven, have no food aggression and don't really feel the need to bark much either, in other words, I am perfect, if I do say so myself.
Just a few extras about me.
I do not like roller coasters. If you are looking for a dog that you can take on roller coasters, I am not it.
Whilst I have very big ears, I cannot fly, any attempts to encourage me to do so will result in disappointment, and or injury.
I know that my name divides opinion, but don't hold that against me, I didn't chose it. You can change it if you adopt me.
I know I may not be the greatest looker on offer, although if you take the two week Moggy trial, I think you will see that what is on the surface doesn't matter too much.
If you would like to meet me, please contact my foster dad Ben on 0452411802 or email thereddrums@hotmail.com. I am in foster care in Maryland, NSW.
Mogwai's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
