About Gizmo ~ On Trial 9/4/17
My name is Gizmo and I'm a 10 week old male staffy x puppy. I'm a confident little dude who loves meeting new people - my tail wags so fast it's a blur! I'm very curious and I love to know what's going on around the house and yard. I'm a bit of an adventurer who loves to explore my surroundings and investigate every corner of the yard. I love to instigate play with my sister Mogwai and my big foster brother MicMac or anyone else who is around.
My foster mummy says I have a mischievous grin but I think of myself as a charmer as I’m very people focused. I love people of all ages - I will put my paws up on your legs for ear tickles and pats and I love being picked up for wriggly cuddles. After play time I curl up in a ball with Mogwai for a nap to recharge our batteries.
I'll probably be a medium size when I'm fully grown and due to my zest for life and all things fun I'll be better suited to children over 8 years who are confident with playful dogs. I'm too young to go out walking now but as I get a little older I will require a daily walk or run.
Although I love playing I am also a really solid sleeper and I sleep soundly with my sister Mogwai during the night. I'm only new to toilet training as I'm just a baby, so my new family will need to train me on where to go to the toilet.
My foster mum says I would best suit a furever home with another canine playmate or someone who is home a lot. I need to be allowed inside when my family is home and sleep inside. I am very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. I would love to go to puppy-training classes when I’m a little older as they will give me the best start in life. I will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training from my new family.
My sweet little sister Mogwai is also available for adoption.
If you would like to meet me, please contact my foster mum Gabbi on email gabbi.bowers@gmail.com (preferred) or phone 0422 498 497 (outside business hours). I am in foster care near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and will need to be returned to our Central Coast vet for desexing when I'm approximately 4 months old. I am not available for adoption interstate.
Gizmo's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
