About Billy ~ blue cattle dog (on trial 16/04/17)
Meet the handsome Billy! Billy is a 12 month old Blue Cattle Dog X. Billy came into care from the pound and can be a little timid when meeting people and other dogs for the first time. He is currently in foster care with 3 other dogs and gets along well with them.
Billy understands basic commands like sit. Billy would love for his furever family to continue his training as he is a very smart dog and picks things up quickly. Billy is also house trained.
Billy is very affectionate, although due to his size his foster parents would recommend older children or children who have experience with larger dogs. Billy is a very playful dog and loves his toys, his was known in the pound for keeping a stash of toys all to himself.
Billy would love to go to a furever home where he has another play mate to keep him company, but it's not essential, so long as you let him inside and spend lots of time with him.
Billy is quite happy to be outside during the day and sleeps inside at night. He will need a secure yard with high fencing. Billy would make the perfect addition to any family.
For more information or to meet Billy please email foster carer Amy, amyeh34@hotmail.com. Billy is in foster care in Pelaw Main, NSW (near Kurri Kurri) and is available for adoption interstate.
Billy’s $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
