About Bob ~ kelpie x dingo puppy (On Trial 26/4/17)
Bob is a kelpie x dingo pup, 14 weeks old. He is very playful, but can be shy at first. He enjoys soft toys and loves to play. He will give loads of kisses and cuddles. Bob has been great with children and other dogs, and is learning that cats aren't too bad either.
Bob is extremely loving and adores being with you. He is such a charmer, whoever meets him falls in love instantly.
Like all puppies, Bob will need some training and socialisation. We have begun house training Bob. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new friend the best start in life. He loves his food and will respond well to food rewards.
Bob will most likely be an active dog and would enjoy a forever family who will take him for a walk daily. He would love to go on weekend outings to the park or beach. He is looking for a home with a secure yard and someone with time to spend with him. He would greatly benefit from having another dog to keep him company but is not a requirement if you can spend plenty of time with him. He is not suited to a home with pocket pets.
Dingoes are very loyal dogs and bond closely to their families so his new home will need to be committed to keeping him for his entire life. They can be very intelligent and love to keep occupied and keep their minds active.
As Bob is not desexed yet, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. He will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he is approximately 6 months old.
Bob's adoption fee is $500 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped. He's in Rutherford, NSW.
If you can offer Bob a forever home please send an email to his foster carer Amanda: amanda.rescue1@gmail.com. It would help if you were able to download an Adoption Questionnaire to fill out and email to Amanda.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
