About Apollo
Apollo is a special big boy that desperately needs a calm home that he can settle into and take the time he needs to feel safe and confident. He has had quite a few moves from different homes and it has left him unsure of himself.
Apollo is very loving boy that is happiest on his bed beside you. He has a genuine love of attention and affection and doesn't like to be in his own, yard time with a doggy friend for an hour or two is fine but best suited to a household with someone home most of the time who would enjoy having him inside with them. His barking has improved and he just needs a home whereby he can be brought inside to be with the family as opposed to being left in a yard with no human interaction.
Apollo loves a play with other dogs but because he is a huge boy and still a puppy he would play too rough for a small dog, so best suited to a home with a very laid back medium to large female dog.
While Apollo loves to meet and greet children on walks I think he is at a stage of life where he would not be suited to a home with small children or people who aren't experienced in very large dogs.
At times Apollo gets over excited and can act out and so guarantee posessions and treats can be a problem however with work this is improving.
Basic training has been taught and so Apollo sits, drops, stays, goes to his bed on command and is a fantastic walking companion that is not easily startled and happy to amble along.
